ABOUT IRON INFUSIONS
When Is an Iron Infusion Recommended?
IV iron therapy is used in a range of clinical situations where iron deficiency is present or oral supplementation is insufficient. Our team provides hospital-grade outpatient care, ensuring safe and effective treatment tailored to your individual needs.
Left untreated, iron deficiency anaemia can worsen significantly over time. The sooner iron stores are restored, the faster your body can recover — and the less likely you are to experience long-term complications.
Book AppointmentCOMMON CONDITIONS TREATED
This list is not exhaustive. Your GP or specialist will determine whether IV iron therapy is clinically appropriate based on your blood results and medical history.
ABOUT IRON INFUSIONS
Dont let low iron
hold you back
Iron deficiency is one of the most common nutritional deficiencies in Australia — yet it remains significantly undertreated. When oral iron supplements aren't enough, or aren't well tolerated, an intravenous iron infusion delivers fast, effective iron restoration directly into the bloodstream, bypassing the digestive system entirely.
Unlike oral supplements, which can take months to raise iron stores and frequently cause gastrointestinal side effects, a single iron infusion can restore your iron levels within four to six weeks — with most patients noticing improved energy and reduced fatigue within days of treatment.
A GP or specialist referral and current iron studies are required before treatment can be administered. If you are unsure whether an iron infusion is appropriate for you, please consult your general practitioner.

Getting a Referral for Your Iron Infusion is Simple
All iron infusions require a GP referral. If you don't have one yet, simply download our referral form, print it, and take it to your next GP appointment. They'll fill in your iron studies and clinical details, and you can book straight in with us.
